Looks like i'll be the first...
« on: March 03, 2010, 11:51:05 PM »
This is my 1975 Triumph Spitfire 1500. I got this car in September '08 from a guy in Indy that hardly drove it. I got it home and started to work. This car is heavily modified, but is still able to be driven on the street with ease. I have put over 350 miles on this car in a single day without any hiccups (my back was a little sore from the stiff ride) Some of the things modified or replaced parts are listed below. I can't list it all because I can't remember everything I have had to do to this car. I'm still working on a new dash to have the radio mounted in place of the climate controls and install an oil press. gauge.

Suspension / Wheels:
13in Minilite wheels
GAZ 30/way adj. coilover front struts
300lb 2.5in 10in free length front springs
Corvette air shocks in rear
New rear Swing Spring
5/8" extended wheel studs

Engine:
Weber DCOE 45mm 2 barrel carb
4-1 tubular header
Monza exhaust
Euro spec. big valve high comp 1300cc head
new valves
Dual valve springs
ARP head studs
High lift Cam
Shorter pushrods
Flamethrower 2 full mechanical adv. electronic distributor, ignition, and coil
GM 65Amp alternator
Electric Fuel Pump
Electric fan
Oil catch can
Heat and heater core removed
Battery relocated to trunk

Exterior:
Race stripes
New top
Removed bumpers / modified front overriders
Driving lights
Tri-bar headlights

Interior:
New carpet
New seat foam and covers
Solid hardwood dash
Astrali wood Steering wheel
Original Triumph armrest and knee pads
New stereo and speakers
