is this a stearing wheel for an xbox setup ? ....if so how responsive is it ? I've used a friends joystick control and don't particularly care for it

Completely different...  It's do-able to drive with the joypad...but it's so much better with the wheel.

I'm in the process of making a few changes to my rig to clean it up.  I found a really nice piece of wood board at Home Depot ($1.01) to make front and top completely smooth, I put in a little shelf to hold my joypads and headset when I'm not using it, and I added a few new holes to route the wires for the pedals and the AC Plug.  Next up - the seat.  I'm envisioning taking an E36-325 Passenger seat and making it into a swivel chair with working heated seat and power adjustment.  FUN!  Just need another free weekend!

Cool set-up.  I like seeing others ideas and execution, while I figure out how best to replace my current lawn chair/TV tray/Logitech DFGT combo plopped in front of the TV for iRacing et. al.  Cheesy
